When you visit Vinyl Touch SA, we may collect personal information you provide directly, such as your name, email address, shipping address, and the details needed to process your payment when placing an order. We also collect usage data through cookies and analytics tools to improve your experience.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to process orders, communicate about your purchases, send marketing emails (with your consent), improve our website, and comply with legal obligations. We never sell your personal data to third parties.
3. Payment Security
All payments are processed securely through YOCO. We do not store your card details on our servers. Transactions are encrypted and YOCO is PCI-DSS compliant.
4. Cookies & Consent
Essential cookies (cart, sign-in/session) are always active because the store cannot function without them. Analytics cookies (Google Analytics, Vercel Analytics) load only after you accept via the cookie banner shown on your first visit; if you reject, no analytics cookies are set. You can change your choice by clearing this site's data in your browser.
5. Operators & Third Parties
We use the following operators, who process personal information on our behalf under contract: Supabase (database/storage), Resend (transactional email), Vercel (hosting/analytics), and Bob Go (shipping). YOCO acts as an independent responsible party for payment data under its own privacy policy. Some of these operators may process data outside South Africa; such transfers are covered by the data-processing terms in our contracts with them, which bind each operator to safeguards substantially similar to those required by POPIA (s72(1)(b)).
6. Data Retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law: order and tax records for 5 years (as required by SARS); account data until you ask us to delete it; and marketing lists until you unsubscribe.
7. Your Rights (POPIA)
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information, object to processing, and withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, contact our Information Officer (below).
